I just received my EVGA GTX Titan Black today. I had no idea this was going to be New-In-Box!

I've never owned a $1K GPU before. Time to put this thing to work Folding 24x7.

Funny, Gramps! I just installed it inside a 2P E5-4640 Linux system. I popped the 2U cover off and installed the GPU; now I have a virtual 4U system which could hold another GPU depending on cooling. Since this system is already folding with the 6.34 client (and I don't want to upgrade to 7.x), I ended up starting a GPU-only BOINC client tied to GPUGrid.

I manually set the GPU fan to 85% to keep the card cool instead of letting it automatically adjust. nvidia-smi shows the card is doing well so far:

BoincTasks shows the "6-8 hour" GPUGrid task is going to take 4.5 hours.

Since I popped the cover, I'm going to have to add fans directly in front of the CPU heatsinks since the SuperMicro case fans are too far away:
