fluctuation on GPUGrid

Yup... they have not had a steady flow of work for a long time. So, depending on how much you gobble up... will depend on how much credit you can get. If I only get one work unit on Monday but 3 work units on Tuesday. Tuesday will look like 3 times the output. GPUGrid is a nice project but they have not been able to supply the demand for a while. Takes the fun out of things.

So time to Invite some aliens to fill the gap. Can I define priority in a way: try gpugrid first; if no work try SETI (or whatever else)

Yes... that is what the resource shares are for. Are you managing projects via BOINCStats BAM! or just the project/client itself?

If you give a project a resource share of 0, then it will only pull work if other projects run out. Typical resource share is set to 100. If you set it to any number other than 0, it will eventually pull work even if other projects have work because you are giving it a set amount of time. But a 0 basically tells the client to never pull work unless all other projects with resource share above 0 run out of work. Then pull minimal work. ( and keep in mind the only way to set this priority in this order every time is to only have 2 GPU projects...)
