I have a problem where my floppy drive is scanning for a disk every time i reboot. I have no idea what I did, but it's extremely annoying. Every time I go to reboot it tries to access the floppy drive then I get that error saying it couldn't be read...obv there's nothing in there to read. What is going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx m8s.
 
Go into your bios and have it boot the CD drive first, and take the floppy out of the boot order. That doesn't really FIX the problem, but it should make it go away. :)
 
I usually take the floppy out of the boot order altogether.
If I need to boot from it I can just as easy put it back in.
 
This is happening after iI click restart...before it actually shuts windows down to do the reboot.

I don't know what a floopy drive is, but I know what a floppy drive is.

And to fix the Original Poster's problem, just go into the BIOS and take the Floppy Drive out of the boot order.
 
....once you've removed the floppy from the boot order, I always de-select "scan floppy drives on boot" in the BIOS. Much smoover with that shut off.... :cool:
