Greetings,
Flickr is awesome and great, but I want to expand my mind through experience on alternative services (paid or free!). I would like to avoid using Google+ as it doesn't come across as a Flickr-like service even though it can be used for photo storage.
I like Flickr in that you can have albums (or sets as they call it), make them public or private (with a private shareable link so that as long as someone has the link they can view photos in said album without needing to login or have a user account), that I can upload full sized 18 MP photos all the way up to 132 MP (rare that I get that high, usually it's between 25 - 60 MP I think if I ever take panos; only hit this limit for 1 photo out of probably 5000 photos), and that users can download the full original resolution version of the photo for free / without needing to login and pay for it.
This is for a church I go to; I am part of the media team. We have to explore our options, and like with 500px, we're afraid that using the $25/plan "Plus" plan photos from 500px that are 'unchristian' might appear and lead people elsewhere -- thus at least in the case of 500px might have to try out their $75/year "Awesome" plan and use a subdomain on the church's own domain name.
Looking for alternative but similar services to Flickr. I'll start it off:
