I'm heading off to college in August and was wondering what the best way to protect my investment in a 2001fp is, besides keeping the door locked while I'm not there.

Does it have a security slot (like laptops)? Or are there any products targeted at flat panel monitors?

Just wrap a steel cable (the one you see at the gym) to the neck of the LCD, and loop that on to the leg of your desk. Make the cable very short with less than 4 - 6 inch of movement. Presuming you don't move your LCD in the future, if so, cut the cable and do it again.
