i know how to do the bios flashing, but for some reason i cant get a bootable drive, or cd to work! all the guides im finding are old, and all i get are errors when i boot with them. doesnt anyone know of a NEW guide that will work? once i get into dos i can flash no problem. not sure whats going on, never really had any issues before.
 
its a bfg 8800 gt oc. i got it.. i just did a few more guides and one finally worked.. not helping the card any though flashing it. shader is sat on 0 for some reason. card is detected fine by all my different software programs but windows shuts it down. gonna try baking it, if that doesnt work then ill stick in it one more pc to make sure its dead then trash it i guess
 
check out the shader clock area... i dont think any of the clocks are reporting right, but thats def not right.

nope they are definitely wrong, though i'd look at the bios file you used first being the issue.
 
ive tried multiple bios. even a good working 9800 gt bios. something in the card must not be taking the flash. the manufacturer, card type, and all that stuff changes, but the clocks and ram do not. i know the bios im flashing with are good.
