Flash Media Encoder crashes hard....

For some reason when i run flash media encoder it crashes my cpu to reboot. i dont understand it. i do broadcasts so i need to use it obviously.i have tried version 2.5 and i couldnt even open that before my cpu crashes..then 2.0 opens and sets up and runs but if i click on something or run a program then my cpu crashes. i was seeing if anyone has experienced problems with this encoder and if so what can i do to fix it? thank you.
