Fishy 3.3v?

I just noticed in Speedfan and Sandra that my 3.3v is being reported as 1.63v. I have an Enermax P651VE 550w PSU running an opty 170 at 2.5ghz on an Epox 9NPA Ultra+. 1.55vcore. I haven't been able to run 100% stable above 2.55. I've also noticed that the vcore fluctuates between 1.51-1.55, which many report as not unusual. The only reason I noticed the voltages is that I have a new Intel build around a used Northwood, and the Aspire PSU is unwavering at 1.52vcore and the 3.3 is spot on. I would think the Enermax would be more stable...

Anyways is that 1.63v reading cause for concern? I do have an identical PSU I could swap in...

ATX spec gives the PSUs 5% of wiggle room...and that sure doesn't seem like 5%...would stuff even work at that level?

Why don't you taka a reading with a multmeter, software readings are notorious for being inaccurate.

I would if I had a multimeter...;-)

The machine runs perfect at stock v to 2.4ghz. I need to bump it up t1.52v to run 2.5, but it's solid there under a lot of application stress in XP 64 bit. I am a little suspect of the Epox voltage readings, though.

Since I have another 651VE, I'll swap it in and see what happens. I've been presuming that my inability to hit above 2.6 with this 170 without 1.6+v was because it's one of those "mediocre" 551s. It never occurred to me that it might be the PSU or the mobo...

That is the only way to know for sure.....but since the system is running fine the software reading is as usual wrong.
