found one at xtremegear, MSI version

heres the link
http://www.buyxtremegear.com/msi2.html

core speed of 500mhz, memory at 370x2(740)

post your thoughts! it looks like it will be a little faster than the 128bit 9800pros, judging from the core/mem speeds

sorry if its a repost, i didnt see a post on it already so i wanted you all to know

definetly will be much faster than a 9600XT, im wondering if it will be better than a 9700pro...
probably not because of only 4 pipes and 128 bit..

it is just a pci-e 9600xt, the same core with a different bus, not really much to get excited about. expect it to perform about the same as a 9600xt, have the same features as a 9600xt, cost the same, etc.

look at extreme gears x800pro pricing, its pretty good

no to mention they have a LOT of different brands to offer

It could be pretty impressive if its a 128MB 256-bit memory card. It would definitely run circles around a 9600XT which is 128MB 128-bit.

$206 for the retail card, I'd wait for an OEM if you wanted to save a few bucks.

im pretty sure it says 128 bit ;)

128-bit memory interface supporting 128MB or 256MB DDR1 memory configurations

Take a look at the bottom of the page, it says 4 channel 256-bit.

I don't know how accurate that is, after all if you hit the ATi webpage, they specify 128-bit for the X600.

But taken right from http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=RX600XT-TD128&class=vga. I'm pretty sure MSI has a typo somwhere, because 256-bit at 370Mhz DDR1 should be closer to 21.8 GB/sec. Mind you, they do specifically state it as a reference value.... Maybe they X600 can do 256-bit, but ATi does not want to sell it that way (possibly another moddable 9500 lookalike)?

PERFORMANCES
• Memory Interface: 256-bit / 4Channel
• Peak Memory Bandwidth: 11.84GB/sec. (This value is for reference only, depending on the type/size of memory implemented)
• Peak Pixel Fill Rate: 2.00 GB/s
• Dual RAMDACs: 400MHz
• Core Speed: 500 MHz
• Memory Speed: 370 MHz

Why would you buy this instead of a 9800Pro? They are the same price! You would have to be really hard up for PCI-E card to take such a performance sacrifice.
