I have a Lian Li PC-61 case, EVGA 680i with a 6600. I've been reading up on water cooling but still don't really know what to get. So if anyone can give me any suggestions I would really appreciate it. Also will it significantly reduce noise?

Well, for noise... my case (8800GTS, E6300) is running near 26dba under full load with a triple radiator. That's quieter than most 1800+rpm 120mm fans.

You'll need a Dtek Fuzion waterblock (best right now for a conroe)

An MCP655 water pump, or an MCP355 with one of the optional tank-tops from Petras or another vendor.

At least a double radiator... Just to be safe for a future upgrade (single will cool just the CPU, but you'll fry your system if you add in a GPU down the road) grab an MCR220 by swiftech, and one of their rad-boxes to hang it outside your case. If you're good with a dremel you might be able to fit it inside the case, at the top, negating the need for a radbox.

Masterkleer tubing

Tline or res of your choice

If you have the room go for a res. Very easy filling and bleeding. A t-line is functional but not nearly as easy.

Isn't the MCR220 a radiator? I'm confused about what you said there.

I will look into the reservoirs.

Yes the MCR220 is a radiator. It works with two 120mm fans. A single 120mm fan radiator would not be sufficient to cool a cpu and a gpu.

Yeah, I'm sorry :). Radiators come in 4 120mm sizes (and some odd sizes too, 160mm, 140mm, 80mm etc.)... Each size can accomodate an extra 120mm fan... The MCR220 radiator uses 2 120mm fans, you have the option of putting 2 fans on each side.

To cool a CPU and a GPU, a MCR120 (note the 1 instead of the 2) would NOT be enough, you'd need a MCR220 or 320. You can substitute the MCR2x0 radiators for a Black Ice Pro (either a 240 or 360. 360 being a triple 120mm rad), but don't get a black ice GTS or Black Ice Xtreme.

Just as a quick question: let's assume that I don't want to OC my box terribly, but do want decent cooling for both my CPU and GPU. Is there no way that single rad would manage the load?
