I am going to be building my first ever water cooled system in a few weeks. I have an Antec Super Lanboy case, as most of you know, this case is pretty cramped, but here is what I have come up with that I think will work:



I am going to cut two 120mm fan holes in the top of the case and mount the radiator below them, then cut two more 80mm fan holes in the side of the case to act as exhaust. Now bear in mind, I am a complete water cooling n00b! I am not sure if any of this will even fit in my case, this is just an initial thought.
 
Putting a dual 120mm radiator in the top like that takes up 2 drive bays, you need space for the fans as well. Also, remember that you are watercooling, and you dont need to have a whole plethora of fans all over the place like you would if you were air cooling.
 
I have that same case and I love it. Space is a bit tight but what you propose looks doable.

If anything I’d reconsider the reservoir, you really don’t need one.

Bill, since you have that case........is it practical to use seperate 120 rads, since that has the two 120mm native placements? I agree with you about not using a bayrez. I'd do anything to avoid giving up drive bays.

Lol, my answer was to order an EXOS-2, in silver of course.

In lieu of that you could cut the top of the case and mount your two 120mm fans on top and the radiator with shroud on top of that. To clean it up just build a housing around it. If you decide to do it inside you do have the room, but indeed you will lose that top drive bay for sure.

Another thought would be move the PSU to the bottom of the case and put your radiator on the back of the case.

Any way you look at it it’s going to be a bit of work if you go the piece-by-piece method.

Well I'm not worried about losing drive bays, I only need one. Still unsure of the approach I am going to take with this, if I don't use a reservoir how will water get into the system? Will I have to fill it manually? If so, that sounds like a major pita and I would rather avoid that if I can.

I thought about that as well, but what about building some sort of housing below the case and putting my radiator, fans, pump and reservoir there? What could I build it out of? My first thought was wood, but that would probably look like crap in the end...

EDIT: Just looked at an EXOS-2 system, that may fit my needs for everything I want to do... hmmmmmmm
