I need help and advice with this build as this will be my first time to do water cooling.

Intel i5 3570k
Asus P8Z77 V Pro
Gtx 670 (dont know what brand yet)
Antec HGC 520 watts psu
Coolermaster Storm Trooper case

Watercooling:
XSPC Raystorm cpu waterblock
XSPC RX240 Rad
Swiftech mcp665 pump
reservoir

For now I will do the cpu then eventually do the gpu and get another 240 radiator.
is this build ok and I can go ahead?

As long as you have some fittings and tubing to go with it, you should be ok. Might want to get a decent additive to prolonged life of loop also.

Just remember to leak test properly. It takes time, but done right l, it will be worth it.

forgot to mention about the small parts. will the 2 240 rad be sufficient to cool cpu and gpu, and can 1 pump handle it?

I just completed my first water cooling not too long ago and I have a single 420 rad with 2 blocks and 1 pump is fine. I've heard that the radiators aren't that restrictive, it's the blocks. And I was also told that my 4x120mm rad is overkill for my setup so there you go lol.

You'll be just fine with that pump and two rads. I've run much, much more on one of those pumps in the past...

thanks for the help. I have another question though, what fan can you recommend to use for the rads. looking fir something that is quiet but be very efficient, and in terms of cfm, what is the minimum should i get in a fan?

Guys. i decided to go for a Cooler Master Haf X since it was on sale. will I have problems mounting a XSPC RX360 on top? do i need to mod something. any help is appreciated.

Nope, a 3x120 radiator will fit natively inside the HAF X, no modifications needed.

Not sure about on the bottom, but if you're only doing CPU and GPU, a 360 is more than enough. You can definitely put a 120 on the back of the case.

oh great then. will use 1 360 first. and see my temps. thanks

I like the trooper more, but as said, it requries a bit of modding for a 360 rad on the top. OC3D.tv has a video guide on how to do it though.

The 670 is such a low wattage card that you'll be totally fine with a 360 with decently low spinning fans (assuming they are of good quality).

My haf x is still in back order. They said it will probabky arrive oct 14. So im thinking of canceling it and get the troopper.

Is it hard to mod the trooper dor the 360? if anything ill just use 2 240. 1 on top, 1 at the bottom.

I'm currently running a L-5 pump (Same one swiftech uses) to run 2 rads and a fairly long loop and it has no problem. You might want to consider a head replacement on it. The EK one allows you to use proper fittings on the pump. Makes for a much cleaner install.

Res > Pump > 3.120 > Chipset > CPU > 1.140 > GPU > to res. Will be tacking the second card onto the loop soon enough.

I would not worry about issues with flow.

As for room that is kinda a small case. I would look at something like the Corsair 800D or a Lian Li

Which case is small? Haf x or trooper?
