I'm building my first computer and have run into a problem.

As I understand it I am supposed to have copper spacers to help ground the mobo and keep it from touching the case. The case I bought only has 1 copper screw, and a series of little 'bumps' which coorespond to the holes on the mobo which secure it (mobo) to the case.

What I want to know is whether I still need that copper spacer? It seems like the mobo is elevated by the bumps and will be in contact w. them for grounding. Is this the case? Am I doing something stupid?

Thanks for any help you can give.

If the "bumps" on the case have screwholes in them and match up with the holes on your motherboard, they are built in risers and you should be ok

Great thanks for the info. That's what they look like, so it seems I'm set.

Do I need to use the included copper riser, or is that just for funny mobo's? There doesn't seem to be anything the copper riser would 'attach' to in order to ground the thing (and I'm assuming the built in risers do the grounding). Is there anything special about copper which makes it more useful than the built in risers?
