Hey guys, I'm planning out my first watercooling setup, and I have a few questions.

1) plain ol' barbs, or should I run compression fittings?
2) Danger Den seems to be the king around here for alot of stuff, what other brands should I check out?
3) Installation as far as I know and can recall, is to make sure the reservoir is inline with the pump, and to make sure the pump is at the very bottom of my case, correct?
4) I know about frozencpu.com and xoxide.com, any other reliable sites you guys use?

1. It's personal choice. I hate having worm clamps and stuff so I use compression fittings. But keep in mind you can pay a fortune just for fittings.
2. DangerDen king? Really? Not that I've noticed. I'd go with Swiftech stuff. A great setup to get started is a Swiftech GTZ cpu block, a MCP355 pump + an XSPC res top, and a MCR220 just for CPU. You can hold a MCR320 for extra expandability/cooling, especially with the swiftech stackable rads.
3. Basically you want to make sure the res goes before the pump to ensure the pump always will have water. But if you get the MCP355 res top, it saves you the trouble of getting a separate res and will always ensure you get water to the pump + it makes the pump have higher head pressure.
4. frozencpu is overpriced as fuck. Usually check out sidewindercomputers.com, petrastechshop.com, and jab-tech.com. I only buy from frozen if it's the last resort (such as If i need a part ASAP), or I buy from performance-pcs.com But both PPC and FCPU have insanely high prices compared to petras or sidewinder/jabtech
 
Check out the Feser and Enzotech compression fittings since they're at $5 a pop rather than the $7-8 for the BP fittings. Sidewinder carries the fesers and performance-pcs carries the Enzos.

I like the swiftech watercooling gear. 80% of the performance for 50% of the cost of the highest tier radiators, and they sell some of the best pumps and CPU blocks. Get your pump/radiator from newegg and you'll probably save $10 on each.
 
bitspower has very good/best fittings, if u got money for paying 3x the price/fitting, then get compressions.
swiftech has best bang/buck radiators and pumps
Blocks and Reservoirs are up to you.

i never bought from FCPU, they're expensive. go elsewhere.
