Hey everyone,

I've been looking through this forum for two weeks, trying to figure out what really matters when it comes to water cooling. I am planning on modding a Coolermaster Centurion 5 (mid-tower case with clear side panel) to have a double-rad out the top front (taking up the top 5.25 drive slot). Three questions:

1. When assembling the radiator for the top of the case, I am not sure which arrangement is better: a) "blow-hole," radiator, shroud, fans OR b) "blow-hole," fans, shroud, radiator OR c) fans outside, "blow-hole," shroud, radiator?

2. Should the fans be blowing air out of the case or sucking it into the case? The case I am planning on getting will come with one 120mm and one 80mm fan.

3. I am planning on initially cooling an OCed e4300, but adding water blocks later (I have an 8800 GTS). Can I go with any double-rad or should I find the chunkiest, heavy-duty rad I can find?

Thanks for any input....

If anyone has used other Mid-towers they liked with a water-cooling system, please tell me (as long as it looks classy)
 
1 and 2) Have the fans suck the air through the rad and exit outside the case. If you use both the back and front fan slots as intakes, your ambient temps should be about the same as the inside case temp.

Is the setup you need. Shrouds are fairly worthless.

3) I was able to cool an E6300 @ 3.5ghz (1.4v) and an 8800GTS at stock configurations and still get good temperatures with a double radiator. Course, You'll need 4 fans (suck, blow config) on it and run them all at around 10v on a fan controller.

A PA 120.2 would get you better temperatures in this situation, by around 4c, but you'll still need 4 fans on it. A PA120.2 with 4 fans on it are around 5" thick... Which is about 3 5.25" slots (or more).
