first OC setup, q6600

I'm using a Q6600 G0 with a Tuniq 120. Running prime95 to fully load I'm getting 57,57,52,55 (using coretemp).. Just wondering if that is a decent load temp before I start OCing it.

If that's stock, that's hot. I'm at 50 50 45 48 at 1.4V 411*9 full load under a Geminii

Is that stock 9x266? What is your vcore? Read my overclocking guide and pay attention to the minimizing vcore setion for more on this... if you're 9x266 those numbers seem high to me, but they are very dependent on your vcore setting.

Thanks for the input. I poked around a bit and found why my temps were so high. The CPU fan was only around 650RPM under max load lol. I set it up to 100% and let the MB control it, its running at about 75% fan speed and I am getting 50 50 45 47 now
