Hello all,

I am looking into doing my first case mod, and it's a biggie... I want to give my silver Antec Super LANBoy a black paint job. Here's what it looks like now:

As I said, I'm completely new to this. I haven't even used auto paint before, for anything. So, what kind of tips do you guys have and how should I practise beforehand?

doooood, that looks nice. I'd like to do that myself but I did some other stuff already and I'm lazy again :(

Still man, than looks good. Maybe you can put some mesh on for better vent...I did and it workeed excellent. Just a suggestion.

painting any type of case usually isn't what i would call difficult, but it is rather time consuming, i've done about 15 cases so far for myself and clients. I would be happy to detail any questions you may have, but a few beginning pointers, painters tape is your friend, get the good stuff, remove the case window before you paint that panel, don't skimp on wet sanding or paint coats if you want a pro look, and when you are done be VERY VERY gentle with the paint as any automotive or acrylic enamel takes months to completely harden
