First off, i'd like to say thanks to everyone thats been posting information in here, i've been scowering these forums for the past 2 weeks to see what components i should get, so now that they are here and i've read the oc threads; heres my conclusion..however id just like a little help in some fine tuning.
Setup:
Mobo: Gbyte p35 Ds3 rev 2.0
Ram: G.Skill 4gb 2x2 PC26400 5-5-5-15 1.9v
CPU: Intel Xenon E3110 9x445 1.3v
Cooler: Freezer 7 Pro
So far I've got it up to 4ghz stable(orthos blend test) with 1.3v, however my idle temps according to coretemp is 55c(core1)/49c(core2) and under full load it can go as high as 70c(core1)/65c(core2). Which seems pretty high, ambient temp in my room right now is around 70degrees.
Just looking for some advice, as far as the temperature. Should I back down on the OC to get the temps back down to like 40c idle. or do you think these temps are fine for an oc'ed machine on air?
Thanks for the input...
Once I get everyone dialed in i'll post alot more info on my setup in the official intel oc database..just want everything perfectly dialed in.
Also, on this new setup should I switch to a 64bit os? if so then, vista or xp? this machine is pretty much for browsing/gaming
