Firefox lockup.

So I just reformatted today and Firefox 3 will not work. It seems if I load anything beyond the homepage it will lock up my system completely.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled but it did nothing. IE works fine and nothing else is giving me problems.
Any ideas?
I'm already sick of IE7 and I'm about to install Opera.
Running Vista HomePremium 64bit. All drivers up to date.

This problem has expanded. My system also locks up when browsing a server list for games. I cant start TF2 up fine but as soon as I look at the server list it locks up. It will also do it if I browse servers through steam. So network related? Weird considering I have had 3 downloads running at the sametime, maxing out my down speed without a problem.
I'm using a Linksys WMP54G with Ralink drivers.
