Firefox, Flash and ATI?

Alright, here's the scoop... I was setting up my laptop the other day and I encountered a problem when I installed the flash player plugin for Mozilla Firefox; on some sites that I would go to that had flash, the the screen would get all garbled with horizontal lines and would stay like that until I restarted. On other flash sites however it won't do this. Has anyone else encountered this problem, that could provide some insight.

I'm running a Sager NP4750 w/:
AMD Athlon64 3400+
ATI Mobility Radeon 9700
Windows XP Pro
 
Alright, well I took care of the problem, apparently the drivers for the mobility had a conflict, so I installed the latest Catalyst drivers with the mod from Driver Haven and it resolved the issue almost instantly. Thanks for all the input.
