Finish B&W1 First or Just Go Play B&W2

I loved b&w1

but never finished it
should I go back and beat it before I play the second one?

There doesn't appear to be a lot of story tie-ins between the two however you might want to play the first to get readjusted (and also so you can get pissed at the creature and lack of wood, as well as other things that people hated about the first one - stuff that's mostly improved in bnw2), then play bnw2.

It wont matter since the game has a sufficient tutorial in case you forgot something and its like a recreation of the game, not a sequel or prequel so not playing the original wont leave you out in the dark on anything.
