Find me a fan controller

my mobo is on its way out, and the PWM signal for the CPU fan header is getting unreliable. lucky for me, even with the pump commanded to 0 RPM, i got enough coolant in my loop that the CPU doesn't spike above 75c in a 30c ambient condition.

so i am in need of a controller to run my pump and 4 radiator fans off of. i use a NZXT Sentry 2 for the radiator fans now, and it works well enough and i like that it has 5 thermal sensors. But i have 2 issues with it: the touchscreen barely works, so its kinda of set it and forget it, and secondly it doesn't have any software interface.

ideally i want one that allows manual control of 2 thermal zones via its physical interface, as well as USB connection to the Mobo, so it can be adjusted via the OS and have auto mode reading the hardware based temp sensor for the CPU.

anyone know of one like this? i haven't had much luck finding one

The Corsair Link Cooling Kit should do what you want minus having a physical interface.

Corsair Link Cooling Kit

I really couldn't find any that were good that had both physical and software.

I saw a Bitfinex one, but the majority of reviews said that the software(web) interface was absolutely horrible.

edit: Good luck finding stock of the Corsair Link Cooling Kit anywhere.

I found the bitfinex one, but the reviews scared me away.

You wouldn't think an intelligent controller would be hard to find on the market

So what would happen if I combined the Corsair unit with my current Sentry? Set the sentry to a base low level, then use the corsair fine control.

After seeing the Aquacomputer aquaero 6 XT in action its basically a computer in its own right its a very very advanced fan controller. It runs independently from the OS which means you can set up all your fan profiles and add temperature sensors to monitor ambient air, loop, CPU blocks or CPU blocks and have the aquaero handle it all. You can even add RGB LEDS to an output to change colour according to how hot something is getting so you have a visual indication as well as an on-screen graph over time. It is a decent piece of kit.

Features from the website.

The key features of the aquaero 6 include:
· Programmable four channel fan controller
· Graphic LC display with backlight
· USB 2.0 and aquabus interface
· Four fan outputs with up to 30 Watt of power per channel
· All fan outputs with 4-Pin plug, switchable between coltage and PWM control
· Versatile control options
· Eight temperature sensor inputs
· Flow sensor input
· Universal IR receiver
· Output for IR transmitter
· Three LED outputs
· Potential-free switch
· Two additional power outputs
· Extensive alarm options
· Acoustical alarm
· Speed signal output for status evaluation
· Expandable to a maximum of 12 fan channels

don't get me wrong, it is awesome, but its also ~ 175$. if i keep the OT up this month, i;ll have enough to do a core (Cpu, Mobo, Ram) upgrade. this really doesn't make since at the price point

Wow, for $175, that thing better cook me dinner, chill my beer, give me some satisfaction, and clean my house too :wideyed: (y) :wacky:
