Ok, I pay my power per kilowatt per hour. I'd like to find some easy to use device that I can plug in to a power strip to find a reader for devices like my computer. Possible?

Well, if I understand your question correctly, you need something to read the amount of amps you are drawing to see how much energy you are using. Perhaps something like this?
