In my cart right now are the following:

EK-Supreme CPU block
Black Ice Pro II radiator
Alphacool AP700 pump
Swiftech MCRES-MICRO
A Lian Li fan controller
Some 7/16" tubing

I want a silent pc that can cool a penryn dual core and a high end graphics card (9800gtx). Is this enough? The pump seems a little cheap but all I want to cool is my cpu and a graphics card (sometime in the future). Would I need a bigger radiator or will a 2x120 work fine? I don't plan on overclocking more than a 400fsb on my current or any future processor so I shouldn't have any extreme temperatures. Does this look like a good setup?
 
A Swiftech Quietpower series would be a much better option if you're going for quiet. The Black Ice rads need a lot of flow to move heat, and airflow = noise. To be safe (we don't know how hot the 9800s will run) I'd go with a 3x120. So long as you have somewhere to mount it, it's not much higher cost at all.

Not familiar with that pump at all.

What made you chose the EK block? The Dtek Fuzion seems to be the most popular CPU block right now, followed by the Swiftech Apogee series, and with good reason.

I have a Lian Li A05 case so I don't have enough room for a 3x120 rad or a thicker rad than the Black Ice (I want to have as many pci slots open as possible).

About the block...I read a review that said it was great. Also, I think that it is the coolest looking block out there.
 
I don't think a Quietpower would be much thicker than the Black Ice.

You'll likely be disappointed with any of the Black Ice series if you're going for silence and decent temps.

With a fairly cheap pump (and intending to add things to the loop aside from the CPU) flow rate and pressure drop are really important. I'd recommend the Fuzion because it appears to be much less restrictive than the EK block, based on the review you linked.

I have a black ice on my pc 2x120mm....and it works fine with rig in sig.

Yes, but it's a CPU only loop and his won't be, which would require running higher speed fans to compensate, if a 2x120 proves to be enough, period. As I already pointed out, we don't know how hot the 9800s are going to run. I'd like to think cooler than the current generation, but I seriously doubt it.

Who said CPU only....I'm cooling cpu, gpu, nb, sb.

Also...for OP i would recommend http://www.petrastechshop.com/12scsysstcaf1.html .....i have a few of those in one of my other rigs, and they are VERY quiet, and pull some decent air.
 
The fuzion doesn't seem bad...again, I'm looking for recommendations. Is there a good radiator that is slightly thinner than the swiftech? Also, is my pump good or are there any other pumps around $50 that would perform better and be silent? I already have some very quiet yate loon fans so I want a pump to match.

You can make any pump quiet, some just take some wrapping in insulation.

Watch the forums here for a few days and look for pumps in FS/FT. People are always trying to sell parts.
 
I don't like to buy used parts that involve water next to my computer. Is the Black Ice GT Stealth 240 a good radiator? It is just thin enough for me (right under 30mm).

You should be leak testing everything for 24+ hours before installing it, so used or new is irrelevant, really.
