File transfers fail over my 802.11b connection

Hi there, this is getting pretty annoying... i'm trying to move large divx files from one box to another over 802.11b (slow, i know), but the damn things are always erroring out. is there any 3rd party software to automatically resume sending and whatnot? windows seems to suck in that respect. (both boxes running xp pro). would ftp be less error-prone?
