I have a raid stripe set on windows xp pro. I am getting the missing or corrupt file error on boot up "system32\drivers\ntfs.sys". how can i reinstall this file? the xp recovery option can't see the hard drive. is it even possible?

Probably means the disk is corrupt. Have you tried the tools from the manufacturer of the drives? Google "ubcd". You may also want to run 'memtest'.
 
im confused...how do I gain access to the drive letter? It is a SATA RAID set if that helps.
