I have a HD that was fried when a client plugged it into a bad wall outlet (not the HD the computer) i have hooked it up to my portable IDE - USB drive setup and all it does is the circuit board gets really hot, I have some of those hard drives at another place i work, if i remove the circuit board and put one of the working ones on the "fried" drive, might that work, the drives are identical. Would it work, and is there a posibilty that it would fry the good card??
