Normally I wouldn't believe in buying anything like this, but pricing out putting together a custom i3 system I'm running about $480 including windowz. Any thoughts? I'd have to add a bluray that's about it.

It's kind of a turd, but it seems faster than what some people on this forum are using. Any dealbreakers here?
 
it kinda depends on what you are planning to do on this computer
 
Media playback. Perhaps some light gaming with older games, but that's not critical.
 
The Sandy Bridge i3's are surprisingly snappy chips. I run one in my lan rig and I notice no difference in light gaming or daily use than my i5 2500k. If you're not encoding or doing insane amounts of gaming the i3 is perfect.

This build seems like a great deal... Normally I run no less than 8gb of ram since it's so cheap these days, but that's something you can always add later on.

Looks sleek as well, I'd pull the trigger.

Good deal overall with the wireless, card reader and windows 8.

Personally I would still build my own but go with a Trinity build. Your not doing anything too cpu intensive and the bump in gpu power is always nice for light gaming.
 
Just a bump for this, until 1/17 it's now $368. It's a nice system, if you add a 6570 you can use it for gaming. Perhaps a 7750 but not positive with that PSU.
