Farcry problem

I just got my new system, its in sig...anywho, when i started farcry when you first get out to where it is grassy, i see the weeds but the ground is black...it never did it before with my other system, so I was wondering what the problem might be. I have all graphics set to high. Any suggestions? thanks. btw card is eVGA 6800GT
 
I think I had the same problem, does it look really bright and washed out too?
What I did was installed the 66.74 drivers. I'm not sure if those are the newest or even the best out, thats just what I have installed. And I installed the version 1.3 FarCry patch. I'm not sure which of those fixed it, but I read somewhere that the unpatched retail version doesn't work the best so I think maybe it was the patch that fixed it. Hope that helps.
