Far Cry Demo Problem

I just built an AMD 64 system with 1GB of RAM and a 6800GT. When I go to run the Far Cry Demo It freezes and gives me this error "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
Attempt to read from address 0x00000000
The memory could not be "read"". Unreal Tournament 2004 and Forgotten Battles all run perfect. As well As Splinter Cell Pandora demo. What is the problem with Far Cry. I have Direct X 9.0B as well.

I believe the same thing happened to me. I can't remember what demo I was playing, but the water effects didn't seem to be working, and many of the ground textures were off color. I also remember getting that error, but I can't remember if it was before or after I installed my GT.

All my other games run fine and so do all of the nvidia demos once I installed the 65.62 beta drivers. Perhaps the Farcry demo is version 1.0. I don't know for a fact, but I think I heard that 1.0 was quite bad.
