CFM isn't the only thing when talking about cooling, but also the PSI the fan generates, especially when using the fan on a CPU cooler.
That being said, can someone help me with a couple of question?
(1) The Cogage 1366 CPU cooler fan. Would the GT 120mm be better than the Cogage stock fan? I just bought 2: SCYTHE D1225C12B5AP-15 1850RPMs.
(2) Same question for the Yate Loon or are the GTs a better choice?
(3) As long as you have your fans hooked to the MB controller, can all fans operate at variable RPMs? If not, how to you tell which do and which don't?
(4) Since fans are more efficient pulling instead of pushing, Wouldn't it be better to "pull air" through the CPU radiator instead of pushing it? What I have in mind is fabricating a shroud that would go around the fins prohibiting air from coming in through the sides. That way all the air would need pass through the back of the CPU radiator as the fan pulls air through it. I'd seal any leaks with high temp silicon.
