I just bought a Coolermaster ATCS 840 case and will start my new build soon. I think the ATCS 840 may need some additional intake fans, but I do not want excess fans to add to the noise factor. So what I thought I may try is to start with one fan on the place on the floor. The next step (if that doesn't seem to keep things cool) is to add one fan next to the lower HD cage blowing toward the MB area. Opinions?
Also, I will have an i7 920 with a Megahalem heatsink. I plan to start with one fan pushing from the rear towards the back case fan. I then may add a "pull" fan at the back of the heatsink. I plan to use a Noiseblock fan.
What fan should I use for the fan on the floor? I have heard that a fan that is horizontal takes one with good bearings. I would like to use another Noiseblocker, but maybe might need a Gentle Typhoon in this spot. Opinions?
Sorry for all the questions, but my current system has way too many fans and is quite noisy. Just didn't want to repeat this.
