Fan Controller - Does it exist?

Please read the whole thing before you respond.

I need a 3.5bay fan controller. It must be able to control 4 fans.

Each channel must be at least 20-30w. It will be controlling 1 san ace fan per channel.

Does anyone know if any fan controller with this kind of amp/wattage exists? Ive been searching high and low..
 
I am also open to the idea of running a rocker switch per fan to a 7/12 volt connection but im not sure how this would work and if I could put more then 1 fan on the rocker switch.
 
I thought I had it until you mentioned 20-30W per channel. Best bet would be to make your own, good luck regardless.

Yeah ive used the scythe controller and literally 2 of the 4 channels stopped working in less then a week.
 
how about just wiring a terminal block with three pole arming switch

I dunno if you could maybe get 2 controller and splice 2 channels together to make 4 channels once again and maybe that would double the power to at least 24 watts, I do not know anything of stuff like this or how it would work... maybe somone with knowledge on this could explain. To me in theory it seems like it would work.
 
T-Balancer bigNG. Mounts in different ways, you can program curves into the thing and run independent of the OS, use the digital temp probes to control based on hottest component or exhaust temp under load, etc. I know it is not front mounted like you asked for, but the capabilities are pretty amazing. Ideally the fans would be set for lowest RPM at idle, and curved to whatever you wanted under load.
 
What san ace fans are you using that will pull 20-30w? The 120X38 109cfm ones pull 6.24 W and .52 amps. I can understand if you are going to run 2-3 fans per channel. A 20w fan will pull close to 1.5 amps at 12v!

That being said, I built a switching circuit from a couple of 7808 voltage regulators, a 2 A micro relay and some fan headers. Pretty much when you flip a switch (bulgin vandal latching switch) it switches from 8v to 12v. Running it with 3 Panaflo L1 (120X38) they go from noticeable at 12v to completely silent at 8v. They are attached to a XPS 360 rad. The parts cost a couple of bucks.

I have used several different fan controllers and never found one I liked, either how it looked or performed. I was always fiddling with the speeds, etc. The T-Balancer looks pretty sweet, but $90 for a fan controller is crazy.
