I have two laptops and neiter will run the client version. both work fine with the gui version. but on of them is a duel prossecer. or do i need to do that complicated looking smp thing?
 
What laptops, and what OS are we talking about?

Ive yet to come across much that wont run the standard client.
 
Yeah, do you mean the classic client or the gpu2 client? Both have console and GUI versions I believe.
