OK, so I got my second rig up, and before I go on to that issue, is the mixed shader count issue still a problem? my 96's never got more than 2.7k PPD on a good day in my rig, but now that Ive got 2 on their own, they are making 3.6 each, so WTF?

Anyways, to the real issue, FAHMON, I set it up over the network to view the 2 GPU's and the P4 so I can get a good PPD estimate (+900 from the PS3)

when I first did it, it gave me PPD readings on my main rig, but now under eta it says *hung* . I went back, and on the folding rig itself FAHMON works fine, and the clients arent hung. SO, I go back to main rig, and sure nuff, its still reading hung, but it still updates with the % done, and it displays the logs right, and I Havnt changed anything from since I first set it up.

I'm up to 18k PPD now, and once I get my 8800GT for my main rig, I'll be at 22k + PS3 + whatever a P4 gets

EDIT
ok, so I had to reset my folder because the new PSU almost caught fire, too bad the box is gone already, stupid ass kids, so I can't RMA it (not even a day old! damnit), but it read the ETA and PPD upon restart for the next few points but its back to hung now

Under Preferences/Monitoring, did you check "Ignore asynchronous clocks"?
If the time is slightly off between boxes, you'll get the hung error in FahMon.

+1! I never knew that.

well, I did that, we'll see if that fixes it

kinda depressing, I'm getting 7kPPD from 2 gso's. and back in my main rig, an 8800GTX and a 9600GSO get 8.5k

damnit, now doing that Ive lost my CPU aswell, now all 3 clients are reading hung across the network, but they are all reading fine on the box itself, 3.5 per GPU and 800 for the CPU

the fact its under my admin acount wouldnt be a problem would it?

Shouldn't matter. Having the time synch'd on all of your boxes should help. It's been a very long time since I've seen the "hung" state and usually clicking the "ignore asynchronous clocks" usually helped.

ah, good call, went and checked, the times were the same but my timezone was off on one, that fixed it

Thanks! , now I can move this box out of my room and set it up headless

woo, 19k PPD!!!!
