Extremely blurry pix in IE?

This is not my problem, but rather a friend of mine. She's been having a problem with images that appear online; they appear extremely blurry and she has no idea what to do.

Originally I thought it was her AOL, but she doesn't have it (AOL compresses images to **** quality to make it "faster"). She uses IE. So, I skimmed through my own IE to see if there's any settings relating to image quality and found nothing.

Does anyone know what could possibly be giving her the problem?

I know it's the ultimate noob question, but I hope one of you help me out.

I know that some other ISPs use IE but their own toolbars have a similar function to AOL's does as far as image quality goes. A relative of mine used Earthlink's software and it did the same thing...
