Extra Fans Setup?

I just built a new computer and I have 2 fans on the bottom front that are not connected. All my fan connections on the motherboard are all ready taken. What is the preferred method on connecting fans without any more power connectors on the motherboard?
 
Fan controller or directly to the PSU with 4pin molex to 3 pin adaptor.. the best option its of course with fan controller.
 
Just get some 2 to 1 fan splitter cables. Just make sure your header can get enough power to both fans.
 
fan splitter no recommended for motherboard header. that will cause the motherboard operate at a higher temperature. specially if the fan are with leds..

On a build I did a few months ago we doubled up and several fan headers. The mobo was a maximus V extreme so keep that in mind. There have been no issues with this but YMMV.
 
Cheap way - Pick up some molex to 3-pin cables, plenty of fans come with these in their packaging

Cheap way - Just get a "Y" cable, so long as they turn on, your fine, chances are they *may* run slower than rated speed

Cheapest way - Just dont use them? Are you temps fine? Do you *need* the excess cooling capacity?

Expensive way - Pick up a good fan controller and plug ALL your fans into it, and dont use the mother board at all for the fan control.

Or even better yet, just buy fans with the RPM you need from the get-go. Case fans are available that run at stock anywhere from 500rpm-4000rpm. A lower geared fan will always be quieter than an undervolted high rpm fan.

agree with that.. not only quieter, but also better airflow than undervolted high RPM fans.
