Hi Guys,
a request for comments and criticism of my experimental gallery. These images have more PP than usual.
Do they work for you?
Are these images original and creative?
If they fail to leave an impression, or seem cliche, please explain why you think so. I'm trying to push myself, creatively.
Thanks!
Z

I am no master, but I will give my comments :)

1) Looks ok, but kinda a common swirl effect. Would be neat if what the picture was of something more distinguishable.

2) I like it althought it seems like it could use a tad less contrast to remove some of the blurring of colors.

3)Awesome, I really like it

4) Another very cool shot. Did you use a polarizer? Looks like it could use one to blue up the sky a bit more and get more definition in the white area.

5) Interesting, nothing I would change

6) Cool shot, I like the poeple looking at the monkey and not at the camera.

7) Really love this one, it has a neat comparison with the silver and blue of the sign vs. the sky.

8) Water area seems grainy with vertical lines? Might look neater B&W.

Hello Zyme, I notice you say 'Do they work for you?' I think with creative photography it should only matter that the images you create work for YOU. If people like them and can't get enough then happy days. Personally, I enjoyed all eight images except from No.3, too bland for me. And, if the images were mine then I'd have to tweak No.2 so the columns were more upright and No.8 so the horizon was level. But that's just me. :)

Thanks for your comments! Yes, of course you're right in that this is first and foremost something I do for myself.

Most people I've heard from don't think that I'm pushing any boundaries with these--and I see where they're coming from. I usually don't like to do any editing of my images besides a little sharpening and cropping. So that's why I keep these in a separate gallery, and wondered if the degree of manipulation was interesting to others. Thanks again.

Wow, the shot with the monkey and the shot with the Blossoms or Sakura flowers or whatever are goods
