System Specs

Intel 975XBX
Q6600 G0
2 GB Corsair pc2-6400 (800Mhz) ( 2 x 1 GB)

Strap set to 1066
RAM : 1:1 (trying 4:5 now)

Officially, the 975XBX does not support the quad cores. But it does work and when they came out, it did support the QX6700 but they removed it and made everyone buy the 975XBX2.

Stock Speeds seems to work fine.
When I Oc'ed to 3.0Ghz - F@H gave me a CoreStatus = 7B (123)

At 3.0Ghz -2x Orthos (For 100% - 4 cores) Stable 12 Hours running Gromatics core

I had one memtest error, but ran test again 3 times and have been unable to reproduce error.

Thoughts?

Trying to research more:
According to F@H Wiki .... it is believed that error code is due to memory problems:

Wonder if I have bad memory or there is a memory bottleneck?
Or could be something else?

Update: System just passed memtest86+ v 1.70 running ram at 4:5 416Mhz

I have tons of ram here. All my boxen use the same model / type of memory.
Was gonna try that next. Just ran my 4th memtest no errors .. Wonder if that first one was a fluke?

Update* I put it CPU back down to stock and it seems to be folding fine. I guess I just can't overclock with the CPU / Mobo combination.
While it is prime / memtest stable , something with SMP just causes the error

Still not a bad upgrade - E6600 @ 3.0 ---> Q6600 @ 2.4 ...

Try slacking the memory timeings down a notch.
The FAH cores are very picky if the memory is running right at the top edge of its speed range.
By slacking it down a touch you give the cores more learoom.

My p5b-plus really hates to run at 333fsb, however, I can set the fsb to 320fsb and all is smooth sailing. You might want to see if the is a bios update for the mobo (to run the 1333 chips) and then pad mod the Cpu. If not, run at 320fsb all day long.

Ditch the BadAxe2 litterally... I had one and it's giving me a lot of random errors even if it's overclocked in the safe area. Since I swapped with a P5K-E, not a single error gwarren007, there is no bios update for 1333 support unfortunately.

The BadAxe2 is very weak with quads. Consider using the board with a E2160 and be done while you get a new one for your quad.

(Pissing me off, so I ordered a new mobo, anyways.)
My intel Badaxe works great with other dual core cpus.
Hell the Quad core will run just fine at 3.3Ghz with console client running on
each core, runs great but ppd is around 800.
Soon as I try running SMP client, boom errors out. Same error your getting.
Dial back the speed a bit and I found 2.88 Ghz seems to be my max speed
without erroring out. Took this same cpu G0, put in ASUS P5B deluxe, no problems
Runs 3.5Ghz rock solid. Confirms what I was thinking, dual core only for BADAXE.

Yeah, I think I will just run at stock till i do my next major upgrade, hint - Intel D5400XS motherboard
I wonder what in the SMP Client causes it to not work, but the OC is stable.. kinda odd

I am going with the later, can't afford a new cpu right now, but
if you keep on ramping up, I might have to Evil,you are the only one in my threat list,
FuSoya blew by me already and no way to catch that ppd monster. I still have a
couple months but you are gaining rapidly....must go borg some friend's computers.
