eVGA trade-up program

I just bought an eVGA 7800GTX from newegg a few days ago. Assuming a 512MB version comes out before Christmas will I be able to trade up to that card and pay the difference? The "cardpool" program seems to apply only to the 7800GT unless I'm misunderstanding their web site. Thx
