ethernet problems with biostar

I have a biostar tforce 6100 skt939 and i lose ethernet connection from time to time. is it because this mobo is crap? I cannot use a pci ethernet card because i have an xfi soundcard in here
 
i just ordered another biostar 6100-939 and if i plug the ethernet in the mobo locks up. Doesnt even boot now without freezing even at default settings.
 
These continuing problems with the Biostar boards' ethernet is what are steering me away from them and going onto Foxconn's 6150 board.
