I've got a Asus KFN5-D SLI w/ 2 2356 Opterons & 16GB of ram.

During the installationf of ESXi 4 I get the following error:

Installation operation Failed!

"The installation operation has encountered a fatal error:

Unable to write image to the selected Disk.
This may be caused by bad sectors on the device
or another hardware problem."

I get this error on two different USB sticks and a RAID 0 array attached to a Perc 5/i.

I've tried burning a new cd-rom and the results are the same. Any thoughts?

Memtest is coming up next.

Houston, I think I found the problem. 71% of the way thru Test #1 we are at 479,000+ errors.

Oh it gets worse. Out of the 6 4GB sticks I have, 5 of them failed with large amounts of memory errors!

Freakin 5 of them!

So I tested an install with the single good stick and everything works great. So the seller is replacing the 5 sticks that failed next week. Until then I've only 4GB of ram, :(
