Alright well my computer has been giving me some problems. Ive always had two hard drives in my computer and they've run fine. All of a sudden, when I try and hook up my 2nd, I boot up and get an error message stating, "Error Loading OS."

When I only run my main hard drive..everything is fine.

and also..

I have an AMD Athlon XP 2700+, and ever since Ive been having these problems..my System information is telling me I have a 1500+ running at 1.5 GHZ or whatever. Ive underclocked my computer before when I first bought it. I fixed it by changing the Memory Frequency to 166mhz. Well its set on that now..but still recognizing it as 1.5GHz...whats up?

Thanks for any help.

Jumper configuration would be your best bet for the HD issue. Make sure that they are set correctly. Some HD's have different settings for "Master (Single)" and for "Master(With slave attached)."

I checked my jumper settings, all is good and well. I have two Maxtor 80GB 7200 RPMs. Main HDD is set on the Master jumper setting..while the other is set to slave (no jumper). Could this mean that my Hard drive is on the way out? I'd like to recover my data off of it, my MP3 collection would take forever to get back..

As for the reason why it was unhooked, I was having problems of another nature, so I decided to unhook everything and put it back together. I don't see how this could have changed anything though..
