I would like anyones opionion on weather or not the Ultra X2 power supply has enuf juice for my rig.

I also like this coolmax power supply. I am looking for a supply that is modular and has nice neat looking power cords.

Any other psu`s I should look at?

Run don't walk away from the coolmax.

As for others to look at....the Enermax Liberty would be a good start. What kind fo budget are we working with on what system?

Hate to spell out the obvious and often repeated... but if you have the dough, get a PC Power and Cooling.

It's simply the best, is sli certified, and will majorly kick Mr. Coolmax's ass. Not that I would know, as money doesn't grow on trees. However, that's not modular. But, it would be a sound investment to keep your computer safe from harm for years to come.

As for the Ultra, last time I checked, they are rebadged generic crappers. They work for some, but with your rig, don't risk it on questionable power supplies.

XP Professional. And I will pay up to $180 to $200 for a psu

When they ask what kind of system, they're asking for hardware details to get a feel for power draw. Your operating system isn't the issue.

haha, typical incorrect rumors

Anyway, your system is fine for the Ultra x2. It is SLi certified by the way and the "windowed" one just came out.

Wintechs with older ones being Youngyears (some with very poor QC indeed)
and there wouldnt have been as much grist for the mill if they hadnt tried to blow smoke up everyones arse when they first came out

My details have been in my sig from the start.

a) Not everyone has sigs turned on.
b)People aren't always talking about a current or sigged system......inf act you didn't say it was the system in your sig at any point.

I second that-no doubt. It has been said many times, but, do not skimp on a PSU! It's like buying a Ferrari with a V-6. BTW, my sig rig is for sale.

Thats not really a rebadge though...they just have a company make the product the way they want it done :). The new X2s are still using them according to JonnyGuru.
