Hi, i have this PSU
Is it good enough for a Q6600 + 8800GTS 640 (both overclocked) + 2 dvd drives and 2 HDDs?

Im using it with my current system and its very solid. Just want to make sure if i upgrade to quad and a 8800 card would I need to change this or not. Thnx.

Well, I had an E6300 and 2 HDDs with 2 gigs of RAM, and when I upgraded from a 7600GT to an 8800GTS 320, my 500 watt Liberty blew the next day.

Wow, you had some bad luck. I've had mine for 19 months and no problem. I've done some testing using something similar to Kill-a-Watt and it has measure peaks of 550 watts from the wall on my old system with this psu. Current systems is much less and (see sig) runs peaks of around 390 watts at the highest loads/vcore (from instrument reading, multiply 0.8 to get actual use). I think you'll be fine even with a quad on the 500. It's been a very reliable psu for me and is truely efficient from being at .99pf rating according the instrument I have. I'd say go for it.
