Not very familiar with raid 0 thoughput but have a question: which is likely to be faster, a striped raid array of 2 WD Caviar SE 80 GB (7200rpm, 8MB cache, EIDE) or 1 WD 80 GB SATA 3.0Gb/s. The reason I ask is the new (to me, thought it's been out a while) MB I'll be purchasing has the ability to have raid 0/1 on EIDE or SATA II (asrock 939 dual sataII). I already know which will be cheaper, as I already have the two eide drives, just wondering if I should get an additional SATA drive as well (for OS). Thanks.

update: nm, i s'pose. what I've been reading is that, though raid 0 IS faster, it's not that much faster. So if I go with the SATA 3Gb drive, THAT will be faster than the eide raid solution.
