Has anyone bought any CPU off eBay before? I've been keeping an eye on the 2700k's and they typically sell for right around $300. I was going to buy the 2600k from Amazon for the same price anyway. I recently bought a brand new sealed EVGA GTX 580 3GB for $395 which was a steal and have had no issues what so ever. I even registered it! I'm just a little hesitant about the CPU though. They are all local, the ones Im looking at. What do you think?

Caveat emptor, my friend. There is always a risk with eBay.

I've personally bought everything computer-related except for RAM and processors from eBay. Luckily, I haven't been burned yet... but I also did a lot of research before each auction.

You can always buy it here the forums, prices should be a bit lower because sellers don't have to pay ebay fees.
