Easter Shoot

So, I'm taking easter pictures of my son (10 months old) and I have an idea of putting him in a round basket with a furry blanket in his "Easter Best" with some nice looking eggs I found at Marshalls.

Now my question is:
Should I have it on a white blanket or wood flooring?

Even though everyone (including my wife) still loves the seemless white, I really want to go with a more "textured" look to it.

Thoughts?

When I think Easter, I’m picturing something green and vibrant for the background: (sorry for the hotlink)

Take it outside and set him in the middle of some big leafy, flowery plants. If there's no spring-time happening yet where you are, you might pick up a bunch of fake grass and flowers from like an arts and crafts store and put those around the basket.

Shooting outside will pose some other problems from a lighting standpoint - you'll probably need to put up some shade and bounce the sunlight around to even everything out. Get some white sheets or shower curtains to hang up as diffusers.

If you still want to stick to the wood floor or white-space: I think the white space may look a little better, since the wood floor will give it a darker, more antique look, which won't have the vibrant high-saturation look I picture when I think of Easter. But try both. There's really no reason not to.
