EAPOL Service?

I have a service in my event viewer called EAPOL, which is not in the services portion of the Computer Management (XP). I think that this is a hacking service because I did a search and found that it is related to DoS attacks and the like. How do I get this service off my computer?

EAPOL (Extensible Authentication Protocol over LAN ) works with 802.1x authentication. Post the event here and I am sure someone can shed some light on what is being logged on your system.
