E8400 E0 Stepping available

If you live near a Microcenter, you can go in and pick out E0 steppings for $149.99 or $159.99 (not sure if the price has changed this month).

I got one a few weeks ago, doing 4.0Ghz on air and I haven't spent more than 10 minutes fudging around in BIOS to see how high it can go.

I live on an island in the caribbean..i have to buy online... i don't even bother buying anything local..
Intel keeps dropping price,but here,the you still keep paying a premium price...

You still pay around $300 :eek: (we use guilders..1 US$ = 1.82 guilders) for a Q6600 here if you buy locally where I live..so go figure..:rolleyes:
 
i was expecting a price closer to that of the E8600 for these new E0 chips. Any reason for the much lower price?
 
beacon,you have the E0, whats the voltage you using and on what mobo?
 
I got 2 E8400 E0s from MicroCenter a few days ago. Current price is $159.99. Definitely the best value for the money out there right now in terms of a CPU.
